Quilting Group

The Quilting Group meets the second and fourth Monday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at McCoy Residence (in front of McCoy Barn), 14280 Peyton Drive, Chino Hills (next to the Community Center). Feel free to stay as long as you’d like, and bring a lunch if you’d like to stay until 3:00 p.m.

We’ll provide a few sewing machines at each session and a project to create. We’ll also provide a cutting mat, rotary cutter, iron and ironing board. You can bring your own project to work on if you’d like.

This group will inspire you to create quilting projects of all kinds – from small wall hangings to regular quilts. You don’t need any prior quilting or sewing experience. We have “Show and Tell” every month to see what quilting projects everyone has been working on.

In June 2024, the Quilting Group met at McCoy Barn:

February 2024 – The group donated eight quilts to the Chino Valley Fire Foundation

September 2022 – Here are some quilt tops that were donated to our group! Our members added the batting and backing to quilt them and completed the quilts so we can donate them to a charitable organization. It’s great practice!

On June 25, 2021, we donated our Pendleton lap quilts to the House of Ruth.

Here are some of our individual projects we’ve been working on at home during the pandemic:
