Chino Hills 55+ Club Veterans Group
All active 55+ Club members who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces or a widow/widower of a veteran are welcome to join the Veterans Group. We meet quarterly at 930 AM on the first Wednesday of the month at the Chino Hills Community Center to review events and programs of interest to veterans and the Chino Hills community. We also schedule outings to local places of interest to veterans and their families.
Please contact Ron Kunzi for information by email at Veterans@ChinoHills55PlusClub.org or by phone at 909-six-three-one-6346.
One of the accomplishments of this group and the 55+ Club membership was the funding of a Monument honoring past and present service in the U.S. Military. The money was raised through fund raising events held at local restaurants, donations from private individuals and organizations, and sales of personalized tribute bricks placed around the base of the Monument.
Funds were donated to the City of Chino Hills who handled construction and is responsible for ongoing maintenance of the site. The Monument was dedicated January 18, 2020, at the area adjacent to the Northwest corner of the Chino Hills Community Center. Please visit the Monument to get a better appreciation of the beauty and tranquility of this special place. The Veterans Group has also raised money to add a flagpole to that Monument area which was dedicated on Veterans Day 2021.
If you’re interested in making a tax-exempt donation to the Veterans Group, please contact Contact Ron Kunzi at (909) six-three-one-6346 or email: Veterans@chinohills55plusclub.org. The Veterans Group and the Chino Hills 55+ Club are grateful for your donations!
