Carolyn Robb

October 8, 1947 to April 14, 2024

Carolyn was a charter member and very active in the Chino Hills 55+ Club.  She enjoyed working at the weekly bingo games.  Carolyn and her husband, Duncan, celebrated 58 years of marriage on April 8th.

          

 

Carolyn Sue (Small) Robb, 76, of Chino Hills, California, passed away and entered heaven on April 14, 2024. She was born on October 8, 1947 in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Norma Jeane Small and preceded in death by her father Paul Small Jr. Carolyn lived in Chino and Chino Hills for over 52 years.

She was an elementary school teacher for nearly 30 years in the Chino Valley Unified School District. She touched the lives of many children at Levi Dickey, Eagle Canyon, and Wickman Schools. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree at California State University, Fullerton. She especially treasured being a master teacher to the many student teachers she mentored during her teaching career.

Carolyn met the love of her life and husband, Duncan Robb, while both were in high school in Winslow, Arizona. After their marriage, they lived in Phoenix before relocating to Southern California. They celebrated 58 years of marriage on April 8th. She is survived by her husband Duncan, son Bryan (Carey) Robb, and son Michael (Karen) Robb. She has six grandchildren, Sean (Kelsey), Kyle, Grant, Troy, Brooke and Lauren Robb, three great-grandchildren, Lilly, Reagan, and Rory Robb, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Richard Small and sister Deborah Vaught.

Carolyn made many friends with her sparkling personality and vibrant smile. She was also active in the California Retired Teachers Association (CalRTA). She especially enjoyed cruising around with Duncan in their restored 1965 Mustang Fastback and acting like teenagers again.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 10am at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 14085 Peyton Drive, Chino Hills. A reception from 11am to 3pm will follow at The Barn located in the McCoy Equestrian & Recreation Center, 14280 Peyton Drive, Chino Hills.
