Interested in walking for fitness and friendship? Please join us!

The 55 Plus Walkers for Fitness & Friendship meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. Please contact Susan Gaitan by email for the starting location each time: Susan (at) ChinoHills55PlusClub.org.

If you’re interested in the Chino Hills Community Center Loop – The loop is 1/3 of a mile – so 3 times around will be 1 mile and 6 times around will be 2 miles – the length of many of our future walks.  There are restrooms and places to sit if you wish to rest.  You will be close to your car if you forget something or feel you have overextended.

Remember to bring water and to wear comfortable shoes, a hat, and sunglasses.  If you have sensitive skin, wear sunscreen or long sleeves.  If chilly, dress in layers that you can easily remove as you’ll get warm when walking.

For your safety, be sure to check with your doctor beforehand if you have any health conditions that could limit your ability to exercise or if you haven’t walked for exercise in a long time. This is an at-your-own risk activity. That being said, we’ll start out with Easy Walks in the city of approximately 2 miles and limited elevation change.
